48 here. I have an 11 year old and am a full time college student so my life is a little different, but I want to say that maybe this wideapread depression isn't just myopic and pharmaceutical-driven.

By 40-50 many people do not have the wherewithal to reinvent themselves again when that is what is necessary. the world tells us we are too old or too in debt or too this or that or whatever. the world is going to hell in a handbasket. make music while the ship sinks. make a brave and drastic change. and fine, take a oharmie if you need to. turns out I djd. then I went and used my very good credit to buy DJ gear and learn how to use it. fuck it. life is too short. my 11 year old thinks I"'m the coolest 😅
