From my vantage point, the "bullshit" I've started is being the first person in my family to go to college (on full scholarship at an elite institution). I have a 4.0 GPA and numerous awards and accolades, and I make a living as a writer and a gardener. My 11-year-old has a self-care routine, asks people their pronouns when she meets them and, while she makes ecologically sensible choices, is clear that corporations need to be held accountable.

So, while every generation produces some bullshit for the generations to come, as far as my own family legacy is concerned I'm very much doing alright with mine, but I work my ass off to see to it.
