So basically, a kid was one factor. ONE.

I wandered around for years and it was super fun and certainly, there was a point in time when i couldn't imagine not doing it - but I've yes, "aged out" in some fashion - but more to the point is that I care to set down roots (kind of literally, really - I want to adopt a bunch of rescued pit bulls and plant a massive garden, get some chickens - and avoid most people lol). I enjoy caring for the beings and things I bring into my life, and the lifestyle just wound up feeling really self-centered and unrooted for me. I still like a vacation here and there. It brings perspective and makes me excited to come back home.
