the state of it is SO sad... I follow the teacher forums on Reddit and it's really depressing to watch literally *everyone* quit for "software development" but it makes sense given the generally crappy pay and the garbage people have to put up with.

The only teacher I know that's really enjoying themselves takes phones away at the door.

I was thinking of becoming a teacher but I'd probably only do it if I got hired at one of the incredibly bougie New England boarding schools that surround where I now live lol... But then Uvalde happened and I was like no, nope. NOPE.
